  My Family and I have been members of New Hope for over 15 years. Pastor Humes is a true man of God and the Worship Services are spirit filled. Christian Education is the best and the fellowship is just awesome. "Connecting people to Jesus and to each other!!!"

  GOD Thank you for blessing us to find our New Church home!! New Hope Baptist is
  Awesome!! I mean the choir is great, exceptional bible teaching and life application tremendously spirit filled. Pastor Virgil Humes is such an annointed Man of God and his wife a beautiful soul and wonderful example to all women!! They are human and people lovers, and welcome you in not as a member but Family!!! You will find a diverse group of Christians~all Ethnicities, (rare in MI) where the people come together to worship and give God Praise by whatever means they can share. Their talents, abilities and resources used to further the kingdom of God!! There are endless functions, life groups~classes,bible study,adult and children's and youth music ministry (mime and praise dance) and much more for all ages!
  The ministers of music include everyone with their music selections of a few traditional Hymns,contemporary christian, worship music,gospel..giving a whole new meaning to the phrase "Praise is what I do"!
  I mean I was impressed!
  THE LORD IS TRULY IN THIS PLACE!!
  I have been to over 20 churches sine I've been here, each Sunday and all throughout the 6 months professing and praying that perhaps next Sunday I would find the right place but I knew this was the church I was to join the moment my son and I walked in (we both agreed ) Thank you to the church secretary for painting a picture of New Hope that lead me into the doors of my new home!
  Praise God, I'm so excited as the search is over and I know some good things are getting ready manifest.

  7:7-11 Prayer is the appointed means for obtaining what we need. Pray; pray often; make a business of prayer, and be serious and earnest in it. Ask, as a beggar asks alms. Ask, as a traveler asks the way. Seek, as for a thing of value that we have lost; or as the merchantman that seeks goodly pearls. Knock, as he that desires to enter into the house knocks at the door. Sin has shut and barred the door against us; by prayer we knock. Whatever you pray for, according to the promise, shall be given you, if God see it fit for you, and what would you have more? This is made to apply to all that pray aright; every one that asketh, receiveth, whether Jew or Gentile, young or old, rich or poor, high or low, master or servant, learned or unlearned, all are alike welcome to the throne of grace, if they come in faith. It is explained by a comparison taken from earthly parents, and their readiness to give their children what they ask. Parents are often foolishly fond, but God is all-wise; he knows what we need, what we desire, and what is fit for us. Let us never suppose our heavenly Father would bid us pray, and then refuse to hear, or give us what would be hurtful.
  
  I hope this message would find someone who was like me "In search of" and that you would come and visit New Hope Baptist Church. I know you will find much more than a church home where you will be fed by the word and music ministry bust most importantly have a little talk with Jesus as you come into his presence and he speaks to your spirit and fills you! Don't wait, God moves through people and nothing is by chance, I'm sure there's a reason in this season I felt compelled to share!
